From October 11, 2019 (Friday) to January 13, 2020 (Monday \/ holiday), the Van Gogh exhibition<\/span><\/strong><\/span> is held at the the Ueno Royal Museum. I participated in a media preview held prior to the event.<\/p>\n

The painter Vincent van Gogh<\/strong> (1853-90)<\/span> , who established a strong style and lived intensely and densely .<\/strong><\/span>
\nOf the short life of 37 years, only 10 years lived as a painter. Why did Van Gogh get a unique expression in spite of his short art work?
\nThis exhibition focuses on the relationship between the two encounters behind this, \u201cThe Hague\u201d and \u201cImpressionism\u201d<\/strong><\/span> and Van Gogh, and approaches the secret of Van Gogh \u2019s unique creation.<\/p>\n

In this exhibition, in addition to Van Gogh’s work, works of masters representing the Hague and Impressionists such as Mauf\u00e9, Monet and Renoir will be exhibited. An easy-to-understand introduction to the process until Van Gogh arrives at his original style.<\/p>\n

In the first half of the exhibition, the works were introduced focusing on the “The Hague School” who led Van Gogh.
\nMany people may not be familiar with the Hague school, but the painters gathered in the seaside town of The Hague in the southwestern Netherlands, whose naturalistic landscapes and genre paintings are the forerunners of modern European paintings. The<\/p>\n

Van Gogh, who loved Millet, sympathized with the Hague who described peaceful daily life on the stage of nature, and asked Maufe<\/strong> , the central figure, to teach and interact. It can be said that Van Gogh’s first step as a \u201cpeasant painter\u201d began here.<\/p>\n

In the exhibition hall, a number of delicious words left by Van Gogh are introduced.
\nThere is a passage that says \u201cOh, Claude Monet has to draw a person like a landscape\u201d<\/strong> . Van Gogh deeply respected Monet’s paintings and was fascinated by the dynamic colors of the Impressionists.
\nUntil then, Van Gogh used to depict the daily life and inner side of the farmers in dark colors, but meeting the Impressionism in Paris will bring up bright colors and various brushstrokes to open up a unique style. is.<\/p>\n

In the second half of the exhibition, the works of Impressionist masters will be introduced in comparison with Van Gogh’s paintings, and the trajectory of the painting will be traced.<\/p>\n

There are about 40 Van Gogh works on display at this exhibition. From the early stage<\/strong><\/span> to the late years, including the masterpiece \u201cHitosugi\u201d and \u201cRose\u201d<\/strong><\/span> , Van Gogh’s important works are gathered from 27 places in 10 countries around the world.<\/p>\n

In the last exhibition room, \u201cHitosugi\u201d, which can be said to be the white eyebrows of this exhibition, is displayed. Van Gogh was fascinated by the beautiful lines and balance of \u201c<\/strong> cypresses like the Egyptian obelisk\u201d<\/strong> and the splendor of the green color. An ideal \u201cbeauty\u201d glimpsed by Van Gogh \u2019s tired spirit. Please enjoy this work with its overwhelming texture at the venue.<\/p>\n
