Taito Ward where living culture feels a sense of heart, such as chi and humanity. In this climate, the forerunners refined their arts and sent them to the world. "Edo Machi Taito Geirakusai" is an effort to discover new talent who will be responsible for the next generation, as well as being touched by such arts and traditional culture. Between August and October 2018 entitled "The Summer Campaign", a series of workshops were held, including Ueno Park 's outdoor screenings directed by Takeshi Kitano, and a workshop on creative acts demonstrating performing arts at a Yakata boat I will. Mr. Beat Takeshi:
Well, it is not because I came back, so it is often (laugh). If I have time to spare, I am swallowing in Asakusa. Anyway, in this town, I reached the school with fun. So, it's like an entertainer to a strange beat, so it's like half or more of my life brought with Asakusa's personality. I hope to give back to you as far as time permits, if possible.
President Matsukura will also make the entertainment festival excitement. How is your feeling now?
Mr. Hisayuki Matsukura:
I think Takeshi assumed honorary counsel very much for Asakusa for Taito Ward. Where Asakusa is, a lot of entertainers nest after the enoken. Young artists are clouting that they will become the second "Takeshi" now. I am thinking that Asakusa will become more and more popular from now, so please everyone, everyone.
Takeshi assumed the adviser this time, did he feel like returning to Asakusa and repaying it?
Mr. Beat Takeshi:
Going to Asakusa is like an excursion from childhood. When I was a junior high school student and a high school student, it was anything from movies to plays, it was like Shimokitazawa now. But, theater theaters were gone, and young people 's entertainment went to Shimokitazawa. Asakusa is working hard at the Toyokan and so on but Asakusa takes the initiative to create a free theater where all can feel free from the Rock Band from Rakugo to Rakugo from the comic story, the young guys take on the challenge I think that young people will become prominent if there is a place to do it. I want to do something for that help.
Asakusa of Takeshi's practice era is an era when people have not gathered yet. How is Matsukura chairman seeing the current Asakusa?
Mr. Hisayuki Matsukura:
The era when Takeshi came to Asakusa was, so to speak, the era of Asakusa's rock bottom. As the TV penetrates the Olympic games, the movie theater is gone, the entertainment venue is gone. However, there happened to be a wonderful entertainer named Fukami Chisaburo in Asakusa, and there were a lot of entertainers who came to Asakusa after admiring to him. Takeshi is also one who received tranquility. As I thought, it was a wonderful thing for Asakusa and the Japanese entertainment world that there was a wonderful senior, Fukami Chisaburo, the leader. I would like Asakusa to continue to be a place where such a wonderful entertainer nests. In that sense, I think that the festival is grateful.
Do you have any advice from Takeshi to young performers who are aiming for Takeshi?
Mr. Beat Takeshi:
Being an entertainer in the past was a little bad thing. It is Mr. Kinichi Hagimoto who broke such a thing, I think that we succeeded after that. Recently, I never see comedian enthusiasts on TV. However, as the generation of the Internet appeared, the times also changed. Next time it is a live era, it is like Shimokitazawa where live houses are full, all the culture is flowing. Nevertheless, as for Asakusa, there is a history in the beginning, and there are many things such as comedy and movie and culture originating Asakusa. Since Asakusa has a season since the Edo period, I think that people growing there will taste better. It is very pleasant if a wonderful entertainer and craftsman who carried the tradition and the backing of history came out a lot. I hope that Asakusa will be the center of culture again.
